Project Definition Report
By Subvert Studio + Christou Design Group
Abstract
Abstract
This Project definition report sets out a clear scope and path forward for the next phase of the design. It is a critical evaluation and study of Rottnest Islands history, culture, society (both residents and tourists) and environmental conditions, that has assisted us in developing a project that is relevant for modern day Rottnest Island and also considers the vast history of this land. In partnership with Christou, we introduced the essence of our brands, values of our organisations, importance of our collaboration, as well as the process and vision for this project.
The plan of action and important factors that assisted and inspired the progress towards the final propositions, are showcased throughout this document and are emphatically assembled towards the end of this report. This methodology assisted us in gifting Rottnest Island a high-quality product that delivers on our vision and satisfies Stakeholder ideals. By encouraging the youth and creative class to revitalise WA culture, Rottnest island will be subverted from a place of separation to a place of unity. Island a high-quality product that delivers on our vision and satisfies Stakeholder ideals. The following report is split into 6 key sections- Introduction, Research, Concept, Implementation and Appendix in which outlines key factors to realise our full vision of our design.

Abstract
Abstract
The Visual Map of Architectural Possibilities or VISMAP for short is a visual representation of our design proposal from the initial stages to the final representation. On the back of the map, the process and journey of the design is drawn out from left to right showing the progression from the first briefing to the final submission. Of the front side of the map, a masterplan for Rottnest island is drawn out and coming off it is all of our proposed interventions across the island and how they will be used by visitors.
